Batch Winery has a fantastic location and boasts the highest vineyard in elevation on Waiheke Island, with 360-degree views from the Coromandel to the Auckland skyline. The family-owned winery produces wines crafted in small lots and has beautiful examples of Waiheke wines, including Syrah, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.
Cable Bay offers stunning views over the vines and across the Hauraki Gulf. Specialising in small lot vineyards, their first vintage of Chardonnay produced in 2002 won a gold medal at the prestigious International Wine Challenge in London. Cable Bay Vineyards has cultivated a reputation for stunning wines, outstanding food, and spectacular views in an elegant and sophisticated setting.
Mudbrick Vineyard is world-renowned for its award-winning wines, restaurant, Italian-inspired rustic gardens and spectacular Auckland skyline views. One of the most picturesque vineyards on the island, sit among the lavender and admire the beauty as you sip on local but world-class wines.
Destiny Bay is a small family-owned and operated specialist producer of critically acclaimed Cabernet Blend wines. Currently not open to the public; however, private tours and tastings of thier highly rated Cabernet & Merlot blends can be requested for those interested in becoming Patron Club Members of the winery.
The vineyard sits just above the site of one of the earliest missionary churches in Auckland and enjoys expansive views over the Bay, the Hauraki Gulf islands and the Auckland city skyline.
The vineyard is named for its terroir – specifically, its geological terroir. A major study has shown the critical importance of the type of ancient greywacke rock beneath the vines.
Goldie Estate is open for tastings, and their cellar door is located in the vineyard’s original winery. Enjoy a range of premium estate wines whilst knowledgeable and passionate staff guide you through the wine selection. Enjoy a glass of wine, some nibbles, or a stroll to the top of the hill to soak in the magnificent views.

Kennedy Point is Waiheke’s only certified organic vineyard. Established in 1996 and set amongst 300-year-old Pohutakawa trees overlooking Kennedy Bay, you can sample their certified award-winning organic wines, extra virgin olive oil and Kennedy Point honey.
Quaint and tucked away behind Waiheke big names Stonyridge and Tantalus, Te Motu is not to be forgotten about. Named after the original name for Waiheke ‘Te motu arai roa’, the island of long shelter and established in 1989, Te Motu specialises in highly complex and long-lived wines. Their flagship is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Typically, Te Motu is bottle aged a further three and a half to four years before being released.
Casita Miro is Waiheke’s own slice of España. Situated in a lush mosaic garden featuring 180-degree views across the vines out to Onetangi Beach and an expansive range of delicious wines, Casita Miro is not to be missed.
It is a small, simple vineyard that offers tastings in a relaxed and friendly environment. The cellar door is situated next to a wetland area and vines. Alfresco tastings are often held under the pergola. Obsidian focuses purely on the wine because they don’t run a restaurant or big venue. Your tasting guide will be friendly and knowledgeable about their delicious wine range.
Waiheke’s newest addition, The Heke & Waiheke Whisky, provides a laid-back, family-friendly, local vibe and is a perfect place to spend your afternoon. Sample local wines, a flight of their Heke Beers or their new range of whiskey and vodka from their purpose built copper still, with some of the friendliest service on the island
A calm and relaxed atmosphere combines a classic Kiwi backyard with a luxury vineyard. They have something for everyone from their boutique vineyard, range of master-brewed beers, cider, and ginger beer.
Jump into thier action-packed menu of; archery, clay-bird shooting, volleyball and a variety of lawn games.
Established in 1982, Stonyridge is famous for its Larose Bordeaux-style red wine. With a large patio opening onto a sweeping lawn looking out over the vines, Stonyridge gives visitors a grand yet relaxed feel. And, of course, over the Summer months, Stonyridge is known for their live music ‘Stony Saturday’s’ and is a great last stop to groove into the evening.
Since 2017 Postage Stamp have aspired to make wines that showcase the Island's terroir, while achieving a balance of approach-ability and complexity. As their love for wine grew, so did the vineyards, adding two more vineyards to the collection.
Today the range showcases the diversity and versatility of local varietals, from sparkling wines to cellar-worthy reds, with every wine guaranteed to be made from local grapes.

Tantalus Estate boasts some of the best wines and menu items on the island; their reserve range is a force to be reckoned with. Situated in flourishing gardens, teamed with luxurious interior design Tantalus provides the experience of how the other half lives.
Head down below, and you will arrive at the Alibi Brewing lounge. They are known for Creative Cocktails, Delicious Dishes, Genuine Vibes and Craft Beer. The moody and secretive Alibi Brewer’s Lounge is reminiscent of a speakeasy from the Prohibition era and gives guests a sneak preview of the brewery.

The Man O’War winery tasting room is set back from the beach in shaded surroundings and offers a range of food and wine-tasting experiences. Established in 1993, Man O’ War consists of 150 acres of vines planted in 76 individual hillside blocks. Man O’War’s superb wines include Syrah, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
Passage Rock Vineyard produces some of the best wines on the island. Their Reserve Syrah is Waiheke’s most-awarded wine, with over 18 Gold Medals and six trophies. Established in 1993, Passage Rock has been one of the success stories to emerge from Waiheke, producing some of the best wines in the country. Surrounded by vines, their dining area has a lovely relaxed feel.
Waiheke’s little Tuscany! Poderi Crisci is a family-owned vineyard and restaurant with Italian flair and a passion for traditional winemaking, established in 2000. For four generations, the Crisci family have been immersed in the art of food and wine. Indulge in Poderi Crisci’s famous long lunch, sample their old-world styled wine and small eats in La Locanda or be transported to Italy as you stroll through the beautiful grounds.
Visitors will embark on an Underworld adventure accompanied by a guide, exploring tunnels and chambers while discovering the site’s construction and purpose.
The tour features visits to expansive Magazine chambers and Gun Turrets, a descent down the Grand Staircase, and a 400-meter exploration of tunnels that leads to the Engine Room and Operations Rooms, concluding with an exit into a historic forest.
Established in 2019, the Waiheke Distilling Co specialises in a range of boutique botanical gins and has arguably the best views on the island overlooking Ponui, Rotoroa and Pakatoa Islands, and the Coromandel Peninsula. You can take their distillery tour, enjoy tasting their handcrafted spirits, or lounge on their giant lawn beanbags and take in the scenery.
This unique zipline and forest walkway experience transcends the usual adrenaline hit of a zipline, weaving above and below towering Kauri canopies with the Hauraki Gulf as your backdrop.
The eco-conscious Forest Flight journey comprises three tandem ziplines spanning over 900m connected by 660m of elevated boardwalk through the mesmerising groves.

Our Freedom 5-hour Wine Tour allows plenty of time to discover three beautiful vineyards of your choice and sample their standard range of wines. You can expect to taste 3 – 6 wines at each venue. Depending on the pace of the day, there may be an opportunity to visit a fourth vineyard at your own cost.
The Freedom 7-hour Wine Tour allows for five tastings, with the potential to visit a sixth. Include a beach walk, a fun group activity or a long lunch as you wish... You will enjoy an extended experience as you explore the best of Waiheke's vineyards and incredible destinations.
Our Reserve Wine Tours are the next step up for your palate, showcasing the best flagship wines of each vineyard. The 5-hour tour will have you visiting three venues and there may be an opportunity to visit an additional location at your own cost, depending on timings of the day.
