We had a fantastic wine tour with Lee! She picked 3 fabulous wineries for us, showing us a good mix of what Waiheke wine has to offer. We enjoyed a lovely lunch on our tour as well at Casita Miro. Lee was timely, communicative and the perfect guide. We learned a lot about the island and thoroughly enjoyed our tour. We have done quite a few private wine tours and this one was standout. Highly recommend booking with Lee if you’re visiting Waiheke!

We had a really wonderful experience with Lee on the Waiheke Freedom Tour. She took us to several beautiful locations based on what we were interested in experiencing, and made sure we had the best experience possible. She was very informative and great to talk to, but also allowed us time and space to be alone at each location which was wonderful. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to have a curated tour that allows them to experience all the best parts of the island.

We wanted to see as much of the beautiful island as possible, as well as visit several sites along the way. Steve customized the day for exactly what we wanted to see. We loved traveling the road less traveled and learning a locals point of view about the island.

Being in a very comfortable 4 wheel drive SUV made it possible to go off road and visit sites inaccessible to larger vehicles . We enjoyed stunning ocean views , walks along beautiful beaches , visits to vineyards with wine tastings , a visit to a honey farm where we stopped for coffee and cake , and a lunch at a vineyard looking back across the bay to Auckland . we would highly recommend this tour to anyone who appreciates a more personal approach .

    Found Freedom Tours and Steve on line. Contacted him and worked via email to set up our all day excursion to Waiheke.

  Steve put together an itinerary that… read more worked perfect for us. He was at the pier holding up a card with our name as we got off the ferry at 9:00AM. We spent the whole day with Steve seeing several beaches on the island and visited 2 wineries (Man of War and Mudbrick).

  We had a wonderful lunch at Mudbrick and then Steve dropped us off at the ferry just in time to get the 4:00PM to Auckland.

  Steve was great. The weather cooperated and both wineries were wonderful. Lunch at Mudbrick was very good and lives up to it’s reputation as a 1st class restaurant.
